Feb. 3rd, 2005 @ 02:35 pm The first part of a story told from the view of our beloved monk
Current Mood: nervousnervous

Here's a little fic that has a very spiritual slant on it. Miroku is the narrator, and it takes place a few years before the formation of the Inu-tachi. It goes a wee bit off canon, such as me playing around with ages and when certain characters meet.

A jaded and somewhat cynical young monk is taken in by a family of taijya who are very strong in their faith. Will he manage to repay this debt while managing to salvage what's left of his beliefs?

I rated this PG for some mild religious controversies, a brief example of harsh language, and a bit of blood and gore.

I'm thinking about making this an uber-long epic. It's at 17 pages as is, and LJ won't let me post it all in one shot. So I'll be making another entry with the second half of it. Make sure to read them chronologically! I'm thinking of finding a way to tie it all in with the entire Inu Yasha series, from beginning to end. *Shrugs* Let me know what you think.

Jan. 16th, 2005 @ 12:12 am A little something for Kikyou
Current Mood: contemplativecontemplative

Rated, erm... let's say PG just for some angsty feelings. This is pretty much how I feel about Kikyou as a person,... er, character. Whatever. If it makes no sense, that's because I wrote it at 3am this morning whilst mourning the downage of LJ. So then, perhaps it could also be the way I feel about LJ. *Shrugs*

Since I don't own Inuyasha, that means that I stake no claim over Kikyou, either. That pleasure should belong strictly to Suikotsu, but perhaps that is another fanfic altogether.

An Ode to KikyouCollapse )

Jan. 15th, 2005 @ 05:38 pm A rather confusing tale....
Current Mood: sadmiffed at LJ

I like angst. A lot. And what better way to portray angst than with our favorite mismatched and yet perfect pairing: Miroku and Sango?

Ever wonder what would happen if Miroku got a peek into Sango's secret thoughts? Well, so did I. However, what happens when he's under the impression that they're not hers? Hehehe... I had far too much fun writing this fic, which is entitled "I Want to End Her Tears."

Rated G, I guess. Miroku/Sango pairing, with a bit of Inuyasha/Kagome stuff. It totals around 14 pages. It's got some twists and turns, so if it confuses you, please let me know what I can do to fix it.

Oh, and as always, I don't own Inuyasha. *Realizes that this also means that she doesn't own Miroku* Oh.... *Sigh* One day. One day.

Sorry if it gets a bit complex for yaCollapse )</font>

Jan. 2nd, 2005 @ 11:21 pm Less than ten pages of fluffy goodness.
Current Mood: happyhappy

This one's name is Japanese for "True." It comes from a pop song by Ryan Cabrera of the same name. It's rated G for absolute fluffiness. Trust me kids, my teeth almost rotted out, it was so sweet. It's an Inuyasha/Kagome pairing, told mostly from Kagome's viewpoint, but also a bit of Inuyasha's.

Since I don't want to get sued, I believe it's my duty to inform you all that Inuyasha and all subsequent characters belong to the one and only Rumiko Takahashi. The words for Ryan Cabrera's "True" have been reprinted in their near-entirety without any permission whatsoever, but I hereby declare that they are not my property. And if you are Britney Spears or Snoop Doggy Dogg, have a sense of humor at your brief mentions in here, ne? ^_^

Enjoy!Collapse )

As always, feedback is appreciated. ^_^</font>

Current Mood: satisfiedsatisfied

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can.

Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

-JRR Tolkien

This is the poem that inspired this  fic. For those who don't know, it comes from JRR Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. Inuyasha is the main character in this one. I've given it a rating of PG-13, for violence, death, and some mild language. It's a bit on the sad side, but it's pretty good.

Note: I do not own Inuyasha, as much as I would like to believe that I do. The pleasure entirely belongs to one woman by the name of Rumiko Takahashi.

And since I only know as much as where the anime ended, I do not know if this is actually what happens afterwards. So don't come to me and tell me how wrong I am. This is  purely a figment of my imagination.

Comments are greatly appreciated.

I cried whilst writing it, so be forewarned.Collapse )

Inuyasha

- Hanyou (half-demon)
-Father was an inuyoukai (dog demon), mother was a human
-Half-brother to the pure demon Sesshoumaru
-As a hanyou, he changes into a human on the first night of the new moon, losing his youkai abilities (enhanced speed, strength, and senses)
-Uses the magical sword Tetsaiga (steel fang) made out of one of his father's fangs.
-Was in love with Kikyou, a miko (priestess) who protected the Shikon no Tama (Jewel of Four Souls), but was led to think that she betrayed him.
-Was sealed to a tree for fifty years by Kikyou, who later died, falsely thinking that he had caused her death.
-Released by Kagome, Kikyou's reincarnation, who is from the modern era.
-The Shikon no Tama broken into pieces, he must resentfully team up with Kagome to find them.
-They are joined by a hentai houshi (perverted monk) Miroku, taijya (demon slayer) Sango, and young kitsune (fox demon) Shippou.
-Naturally hot-headed, he claims that his only reason for wanting the Shikon no Tama is to be able to turn himself into a full demon.
-Is slowly realizing that, due to his growing feelings for Kagome, perhaps he would be better off embracing his human side.

Sesshoumaru

- Full Inuyoukai (dog demon)
- Older half-brother of Inuyasha
- Cold hearted and emotionless, he craves power.
- His father left him the Tenseiga (heavenly life fang), which is a sword with the power to revive life.
- Had his left arm ripped off in a gruesome fight with Inuyasha.
- Has a loyal servant, Jaken, who is a kaeru youkai (toad demon).
- Weakened, a mute human child, Rin, found him in the forest and tended to his wounds.
- Rin was killed by ookami youkai (wolf demons), but he restored her life.
- Is now accompanied by Jaken, a now-verbal Rin, and the flying horse demon Aun.
- Though cold, he shows his compassionate side to Rin and, on occassion, other small children.
- Disgusted by the way Inuyasha's humanity is a taint to their father's bloodline, he strives to kill him.
- Is after Naraku, the demon possessing many of the Shikon shards, only because he had had to audacity to kidnap Rin.
